There was no dramatic resignation. No savings account that made it easy. Just a slow realisation that the life we kept postponing was the only one we actually wanted.
2021
Toptal said yes
Passed the Toptal screening and started earning properly for the first time. It changed what we believed was possible for us.
2023
Then it stopped
The contract ended. Six months with no work at all, living off savings, before a new client finally came through. This is the part nobody posts about.
2025
We left
Packed up and started travelling as a family, and began sharing the journey on Instagram.
2026
We started teaching
Turned what we had learned the slow way into courses and free guides, and built a business around it.
Now
Germany, and a second passport
We decided the biggest gift we could give our children was another passport, so we are relocating. Hamza is in Germany on the Chancenkarte, looking for the next role.
